B Corps (short for Benefit Corporations) are commercial companies that meet high standards of conscious decision-making. By becoming a B Corporation, we joined a community of thousands of like-minded businesses around the world that work together to build a more inclusive and sustainable economy. We're very attentive when it comes to our suppliers and production partners. All our garment makers are situated in Portugal and most of them have been with us for many years.

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a renowned certification for organically produced fibres. Next to the environmental aspect of textile production, it also takes social criteria such as fair and safe working conditions into account.

Since the foundation of MR MARVIS, we've created slow fashion; durable, timeless garments that are made to last for a long time. The concept of slow fashion prioritises quality over quantity and encourages customers to purchase well-made, more sustainable clothing that is designed for circularity. Learn more about slow fashion in our Action Report here.

It’s our mission to share positive energy around the world. We do so by creating iconic designs, offering best-in-class service and driving conscious decisions for people and the planet. As a clothing brand, we hold ourselves accountable for the impact we have. We're dedicated to doing better every day; creating value for everyone interacting with our company, and reducing our environmental footprint to a minimum.

We want to make people feel marvellous. First, through the creation of our shorts and trousers. But in some cases, it takes more than a perfect garment to make someone feel marvellous. That’s why we support various charitable organisations. In addition to financial support, we also donate our time and expertise to communities. Each year, we set a target amount of hours to be spent on voluntary work by our team. This target is based on (but not limited to) 4 hours per full-time employee.

We highly appreciate the diverse and international character of our team and value the different perspectives our colleagues bring to the table. Therefore, creating and nurturing a diverse, equal and inclusive working environment is super important to us. We have an annual diversity, equity and inclusion training for the entire team and invited an external consultant to look at the language we use on our website. But we are always looking for ways to further improve and learn in this area.

All our garments are made in Portugal. The finished products are wrapped in a recycled plastic bag – to protect the garment during transport and other handling – and transported per truck to our distribution centre in Nieuwegein (The Netherlands). We never use air transport for shipping. At the distribution centre, the plastic is removed and recycled. The product is shipped to the customer in a recycled carton box, without plastic or virgin packing material. We review our shipping box every time we create a new style, to optimise the sizing in order to ensure we don't use unnecessary space.

We hope our customers take great care of their MR MARVIS items. By following the care instructions, you'll enjoy our products for a very long time. The care instructions for every product can be found on the website if you go to the product page and then click on 'care'. You'll also receive an email with specific care instructions after you've made your purchase.

We've set the ambitious target to reach net zero emissions in scope 1, 2 and 3 by 2030. This means that we'll calculate and keep track of all our emissions, try to reduce them to a minimum and compensate for the last bit of inevitable emissions through regreening projects. Important to note is that reduction comes first and compensation comes second. Our primary focus lies in reducing our emissions to a minimum before we compensate for the remaining emissions. Learn more about our Net Zero ambition and the difference between scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions in our Action Report here.

Simply put, MR MARVIS designs, produces and sells a range of garments that combine the ultimate fit with great style.
