We felt it was time to add a cardigan to our collection. One that's easy to slip on and off and allows you to zip through your day. That's The Zip Cardigan.

From its early days as a practical knitted layer, the cardigan has been associated with comfort and leisure. Our new sporty version with a zipped front builds on this tradition: effortless, comfortable and primed for everyday wear.

Quick adjustments throughout the day? Consider it sorted. The silver-toned zip offers flexibility and more control over warmth and fit than a classic pullover would. This makes The Zip Cardigan ideal for (early) spring – when you fancy wearing lighter layers and start swapping wool for cotton – and of course commuting and travel, where flexibility and comfort matter most.

The Zip Cardigan is made from 100% organic cotton, using a Milano stitching technique for a sturdy yet soft feel – one you may recognise from our Knitted Blazer. The design borrows from the classic bomber jacket silhouette and arrives in three versatile colours: dark blue Cosmics, off-white Coconuts and sand beige Baristas. Wear it however you like, though these pairings are a good place to start: The Five-pockets or The Straight Fit Jeans for a look that leans casual, or The Easies for a comfortable weekend uniform.

A step forward in responsibility

We’re proud to share that we officially received our Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification on October 2, strengthening our commitment to doing things responsibly. This marks a new milestone in our sustainability strategy, with plans already underway to align our production with the latest environmental and social standards. Being recognised by GOTS means we can guarantee full accountability, from fibre to finished garment, and proudly share our sustainability efforts with our customers. Because doing good looks good on you – and never goes out of style.

Raising the bar

GOTS is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres. It ensures fabrics are made with certified organic fibres, while also adhering to strict environmental and social standards throughout the entire production process. To carry the GOTS label, a product must contain at least 70% organic fibres and be produced under fair and safe working conditions, following strict chemical guidelines.

Two-thirds of the MR MARVIS collection currently includes a high percentage of organic cotton. More than 20% of our styles will be labeled as GOTS this year.
This includes both newer releases such as The Midweight Tee and trusted favourites like The Classic Chinos. The goal: full GOTS certification across all organic cotton styles in the next two years.

As you might already know, we are the largest Dutch clothing brand with a B Corp Certification – a title we intend to uphold with our 2026 recertification. Obtaining the GOTS certification is an additional step – not a requirement for B Corps – highlighting how we continue to go above and beyond, making conscious choices that benefit both people and the planet. We will be audited annually, along with our suppliers, by independent third-party organisations to ensure compliance with the strict GOTS standards.

What to look out for

Every MR MARVIS garment made according to GOTS standards will have a corresponding label. Because MR MARVIS collections combine new releases with never-out-of-stock favourites, some existing pieces were made before we received our GOTS certification.
This means the GOTS label will be introduced gradually, with the logo appearing only on new production runs. But rest assured: whether your item carries the GOTS label or not, the quality, comfort, and craftsmanship you expect from MR MARVIS remain exactly the same.

Meet The Flannels Alpinist: your new refined winter trousers that are ready for action. Made from organic cotton with a brushed finish, these men's trousers bring the warmth and the structure that high-altitude dressing requires. Building on our original Flannels in refined colours – a true MR MARVIS essential – we’re introducing a new variation this season: The Flannels Alpinist. This style blends the warm and tailored character of flannel with cargo cues, inspired by the elevated, off-duty look of the local ski and mountaineering community.

The Flannels Alpinist are made of 97% organic cotton and 3% elastane. The cargo pockets feature a decorative pleat and a pocket flap stitched on both sides. The brushed cotton flannel fabric is the same quality as the one we use for The Flannels.

Meet The Cable Knit Pullover: our chalet-worthy pullover that also pulls its weight in the city, crafted in Portugal from 100% merino wool.

The Cable Knit Pullover is made from merino wool, which is among the finest wool fibres available. It has five bold cables across the front and plain sleeves for contemporary balance. This men's cable-knit jumper arrives in black blue Deeps, off-white Coconuts, dark sand Baristas, burnt orange Spices, dark green Lakes and grey Oysters.

Meet The Coolerdays Alpinist: a new take on The Coolerdays with an alpine twist. Crafted from heavyweight organic cotton twill, The Coolerdays Alpinist have a slightly more casual feel, yet remain refined, as you can expect from us. The cut is tapered and offers a slightly more relaxed fit than our original Coolerdays style, with external pockets thoughtfully positioned for both form and function. This is an iconic cargo, designed and styled the MR MARVIS way.

The Coolerdays Alpinist are made of 98% organic cotton and 2% elastane and have an elasticated waistband for an extra comfortable fit. They arrive in three signature MR MARVIS colours: dark blue Cosmics, dark grey Storms and dark army green Fairways.

How it works

Step one: Drop-off

Bring any clothes you no longer wear to our MR MARVIS store on P.C. Hooftstraat 21 in Amsterdam. It doesn’t matter what the brand, size, or season is – just pop them into the dedicated reclamation bin.

Step two: Pick-up

Sympany stops by regularly to collect what’s inside. They are experts when it comes to sorting and recycling garments, with facilities throughout the Netherlands.

Step three: A new life begins

Your garments don’t just vanish. If they're still in good condition, they'll be passed on for someone else to enjoy, with all profits going to Sympany to support their reclamation projects across the Netherlands. If not, they'll be recycled into new fabrics or even upcycled into entirely new items.

Our latest offering keeps you warm, insulated and put-together so you're ready for wherever the day takes you.

The Downtown Jacket has a water-repellent and windproof technical twill outer shell that's made from polyester and polyurethane. This men's padded jacket is fully lined and filled with recycled polyester for lightweight thermal insulation that's hypoallergenic and moisture-resistant. The design features a double placket – snap buttons and zip – as well as an elasticated hemline with drawcords and ribbed-knit trims to keep cold wind out.
